I believe with HAI it is an all or nothing with EOL.N49atv said:I realize that, however id rather not have EOL plates around the house. And with HAI, only the first 48 zones can be configured NC, with expansion boards 17A00-X it requires 1k resistors. I'd rather they are not buried in the wall, or ran to attic.
We have used these in the past with a special diod (transorb) soldered across the top terminals/fuse mounting holder.N49atv said:I was thinking it would make for a much cleaner install. I plan on wiring all zones from the OPII to terminals inside my enclosure. If I use a double stack terminal block with fuse holder, I can wire out through the straight through portion of the terminal block, then install a ferrule end resistor in the fuse holder, and close it, completing the EOL on expansion boards cleanly, with minimum terminal blocks.
I'm an oilfield electrician, so all I know is overkill.
