It's now been a few weeks running (HAI OPII firmware V 3.13) and I have noticed improvements in serial and network com and time sync stuff.

1 - Serially connected Omnistat never blinks nada stuff (Russound too)
2 - Time has been in sync checking it randomly.
3 - Network transport not hiccuping with whatever is connected to it.
4 - The video streaming via the legacy serially connected Omnitouch 5.7 screens was very slow; it is now very fast.  Switching feeds is also very quick compared to earlier firmware revisions.

Thank-you Leviton / HAI.

Last night (10th of July) around 9 PM; OPII panel did a spontaneous reset.  I have no idea why.

After the spontaneous cold reset I had issues with network and serial connectivity.

I had issues connecting to the panel via PCA network and serial means.

Networked Omnitouch screens disconnected and stayed at the boot prompt, serial Omnitouch screens appeared to be connected.

I unplugged power / battery and reconnected and all was fine.

I connected to the panel via PCA (network) and uploaded current configuration.

Didn't make sense to me.

Yeah; its been doing fine.  Time sync is better and I haven't seen any issues for quit a while.

In 10 years I have used the OPII I have never seen an issue like this.

Note that when you downgrade from 3.13 to 3.12 it erases just about everything, so when it reboots, PC Access won't be connected anymore. I had to go to the console and reenter the IP address so PC Access can assess it again (unless you are using the default IP address), and then I could download everything again. Then you need to sync the time, since that isn't done automatically when downloading everything else.

Leviton/HAI really needs some better quality control. Maybe 3.14 will be better.

I downgraded from 3.13 to 3.12 because of the odd issues also.  Like Ano, I had to reset the IP manually at the console.  Because I wanted to use the new e-mail board, I upgraded again to 3.13 and I've since not had issues.

That's good to hear.   I'm having trouble with the network port  dropping packets.   Currently on v3.11.
Will be trying the upgrade.

HAI OPII FW 3.13 has done the weird reset thing only once so far.

It appears to work better for me than FW 3.12 which did have networking issues that essentially caused the rest of the panel to do weird stuff (serially), time wise (sync) et al.

I did modify the network transport to fix my issues with FW 3.12 based on what HAI tech told me about the legacy hardware on the panel.

If the board hiccups again; then I will probably downgrade back to FW 3.12 and redo my network transport to fix what was causing me issues.

I couldn't fix the historical OPII FW 3.13 attributable single hiccup without some physical interaction by me. (a real PITA)

This is a really bad thing should a life safety issue occur at the same time as the hiccup which contradicts the purpose of this device

To be honest the whole attributed to FW "hiccup" thing pisses me off; but I am only one user / customer of Leviton / HAI.

Leviton is the big stick promoting this device and is probably not paying attention.
