Hi, I am a new guy and am having trouble getting started pairing up a GE 45600 as a secondary controller to a MiCasaVerde Vera2 with 5 Intermatic Ca3000 switches.

We already have an Elk M1 Gold / Navigator keypad installed to be integrated soon.

Thanks
Curtis

AFAIK the remote can only control scenes.

Include the remote:
1. Include the remote on Vera via "Add/Remove Devices".
2. Choose "Z-Wave device" and scroll down to Battery Operated Handheld Remotes" but don't select it yet.
3. On the remote, press and hold "Setup" on the remote until both the red and green LEDs blink twice.
4. Enter 967 on the remote. The light will flash green continuously and stop when Vera finds it.
5. In Vera, select "Add One" from "Battery Operated Handheld Remotes".

Add scenes:
1. Add Commands to the scenes you want to activate with the remote.
2. Add Events - Choose the controller.
3. Choose a scene is activated.
4. Select a scene number to match the remote number.
The "On" side of the remote button will trigger the scene.

Re-Include the remote to deactivate scenes:
1. Re-include the remote.
2. Add Commands to the scenes you want to activate with the remote.
3. Add Events - Choose the controller.
4. Choose a scene is deactivated.
5. Select a scene number to match the remote number.
The "Off" side of the remote button will trigger the scene.

With 3 of these 45600 remotes, I am able to control each of the switches individually. I have a couple of scenes that work from the Mios dashboard, But don't work with the remotes.

Appreciate the help.

The sequence was Setup, Add, Light, Button 1 or 2 or... Then putting the specific Intermatic Ca3000in setup mode. 6 switches now work with the remote indavidually.

The setup and 967 gets the Vera dashboard to recognize the scene controllers. The scenes work on the dashboard, but not with the remotes.

But when you did that doesn't that make the remote the primary controller for those switches instead of Vera?
From what you're saying that may be the difference here. Your scenes won't work with the remote - mine will. Your remote can directly control a switch - mine won't. That was my understanding which is why I decided I can live with only scene control for a $6 remote.

I thought that the first controller used was the primary and others were secondaries. All switches and scenes can be controlled from the Mios dashboard as well.

OK... so how do you get the CA3000 into setup mode when it is already paired with Vera as the primary without breaking that pairing?

Push the top (on) for a second.

It only blinks when it's not paired.

It's on GE's Zwave for dummies videos. http://www.jascoproducts.com/z-wave/GE-Z-Wave-Support.asp
