GE Security Smoke Detector

I purchased 2 GE security smoke detector from aartech and plan to connect them to my M1. I was told this model can be connected to the M1. I started by installing only one detector but the status is showing to be "violated". Not sure why and I dont I'm not finiding the problem. What should I be focusing. I tried to program the dedector with definition 10(fire alarm) and 11 (fire verified) but still same issue. This smoke detector if 4 wires therefore the type selected in the M1 set up is 5 (fire/4 wire smoke/RF).

From the smoke detector this is how I connected my wires going to the M1: Positive from the smoke detector goes to the +SAUX, the negative from smoke detector goes to NEG on the M1, NO from the smoke detector to Zone 10, and the last wire goes from COM to NEG of zone 10.

What Im I doing wrong. Why the Fire Trouble.

I believe you need an End Of Line Resistor on the last detector "in the loop".

Since the loop is only one detector you'll need it on the first (which is the last) one.

The model is a GE Security Photoelectric Smoke Detector 541NB 6-33VDC 4 wire. I did install a loop between NO & COM of the detector

A loop? Need to have 2200 ohm EOL resistor here. What are you measuring for the zone voltage? Look at the ELK RP status.

Also measure the supply voltage AT THE DETECTOR. You may have a broken wire or swapped polarity.
