glass break sensor weirdness

elkm1g with an older ademco glassbreak sensor in normally closed mode. i can manually put the sensor in test mode and use my glass break test tool and the sensor shows 'red'

if the alarm is armed (the sensor is configured 03 = burglar perimeter instant) but when i test with the tool the green led just blinks and the alarm doesnt go off.

is there something i am missing?

i also have 2 wireless glass break detectors and i am having the same issues.

With the M1 armed, then put the GB in test mode. In test mode the LED will be blinking green. While in test mode, trip the sensor with the tool. The LED should go red and the M1 should into alarm.
