Glasstech Ceiling Mount

I'm planning mounting locations for Glasstech break sensors and the only thing I'm not clear on is ceiling mounting. Can I mount them flat on ceiling without the bracket that hangs them down like a PIR? This is of course assuming they have line of sight to the glass and are within the distance spec.
