The information on OWFS is kinda overwhelming. Working fine with Digitemp, but it doesn't look like Digitemp is going to be able to control the DS2406 switches like I thought. So decided to try OWFS. Not going to good. Build with fuse or without,..... all kinds of other options. I just don't know where to start with something in a more straight forward manner than the mismatch of gobs of information on owfs website.
I'm going to try it without fuse and see how works. Right now it won't see the adapter on the serial port and Digitemp does.
#owfs -d /dev/ttyS1 /mnt/1wire
DEFAULT: Cannot detect DS9097 (passive) interface on /dev/ttyS1.
fuse: mountpoint is not empty
fuse: if you are sure this is safe, use the 'nonempty' mount option
The device is a DS9097U though and not the passive.
Having trouble finding a good website for Linux with straightforward info.
