HAI and Simply Automated......together?

I may be exposing my ignorance, but here goes.....

In a three or four-way situation, can I use an SA "master" with an HAI "slave?" The reason I ask is that I have a situation where, on the one end, I need the 8-button SA switch to control two loads in a single-gang box. On the other end, I want the switch to match (mainly LEDs) two other HAI switches in a three-gang box.

I hope that made sense.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
I am also in the learning mode but everything I have heard or read says that you cannot mix brands in a master/remote combo. However, the US240 is only acting as the load switch for a single load. All other buttons are link transmitters. If you intent to use the US240 to control one load and some of the US240 buttons to transmit a commamd to a different receiver, you are free to use any brand device for the other receiver. If I read your question correctly, your desired HAI switch is not a remote slave...it is the actual load switch which can receive commands via link from the US240. As such, you can use a HAI switch like you want to.

Mark,

If your HAI switch is an auxiliary 37A00-1 switch it can be used with a SA "master" You will need to swap the black and the white leads on the auxiliary switch. SA masters want to see a different "state" in the slave switch. If you wire it normal it won't hurt anything, it just will not work. If you are using a reguler switch as a virtual 3way DONOT try to wire it as an auxiliary switch. The wiring is different for a virtual 3 way vs. a real 3 way.
Can't tell you if the LEDs will follow what you want.

Hope that helps
Dave

The three-way I want to mix up the manufacturers on is a real three way, not a virtual one. So, if I'm reading your replies correctly, this CAN be done. Thank you for your help!
