HAI dimmer problem

I'm having a problem with an HAI dimmer switch (35A00-1 600W). The obvious symptom is that when set to Off, the light it controls only goes down to about 30% dim.

When I first supply power to the unit, the LED flashes: red, red, blue, red, (pause), solid purple. (It remains solid purple until I press it or it receives any UPB transmission, then the LED goes off, which is how it is programmed to be).

If I press down firmly on the off position, the light will actually go full off, and stay off so long as I'm holding. But when I release the switch, it returns to ~30% dim, and the same LED sequence described above occurs again.

I haven't been able to find any documentation on what any LED blink sequences might mean. All of my other switches are in use, and I have not had the time yet to take things apart and swap it out with another unit to see if the problem is with the switch, or with the wiring it's attached to.

It's worth mentioning: the thing had been working perfectly since I installed it 10 months ago, until last week. I am not aware of anything unusual that has happened to it or on the circuit that would have caused this. UPStart don't

So, I know my next step is to do the swap and see what happens, but does anyone have any more immediate ideas what is going on?

My only guess, other than to say "it's broke", is that the "on" side of the switch is sticking. You might try taking the faceplate off and spraying the switch with some contact cleaner. Also check to see that the rocker itself is not rubbing or sticking.
