Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), a leading manufacturer of home control products since 1985, introduced a new line of wireless programmable communicating thermostats called Omnistat-Z today at the Electronic House Expo in Long Beach, California.

HAI's new Omnistat-Z line has built-in Z-WaveTM transceivers. When used with an HAI home automation controller the Omnistat-Z communicates wirelessly for the coordination of temperatures with other household functions, such as security settings, time of day, or room occupancy. Z-WaveTM is a wireless network protocol used in a wide variety of home automation devices made by numerous manufacturers.

Five models compatible with different types of HVAC systems are available. All models are fully interactive with all HAI home control systems as well as most others. They can be controlled from within the house or remotely through the telephone or Internet through HAI's controller and accessories. All Omnistat-Z models meet the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star guidelines for energy efficiency.

HAI also offers a hardwired line of Omnistat programmable communicating thermostats with five different models for conventional single state heat/cool, heat pump, two speed heat pump, two stage conventional, and zone control systems.

The Omnistat-Z products are shipping and will be demonstrated in HAI's booth number 835 during the Electronic House Expo November 7 - 9, 2007. HAI products are available through a worldwide network of Distributors and installing dealers.
