Haiku Haiku and Rain8 UPB Sprinkler

Well if it's UPB, sure, it will appear as a load under the Control tab. Or you can program it onto some buttons.

i'm not sure i understand what's being asked for here.. i have a Rain8 UPB controlling my sprinklers and tied into my HAI OmniPro 2. As lupinglade mentioned above, it shows up under my list of 'Control' units, just like any other UPB device. I also have written a few lines of programming on the HAI that's activated when I press a Button.
Both the Button and the Units appear in PCAccess, my Omnitouch 5.7e touchscreens, HAI SnapLink, and of course my Haiku and HaikuHelper screens.
I haven't used the Rain8 units that connect via serial, but I imagine it's not too different: note IIUC you'll need a few more lines of HAI programming to handle the serial communication, and you won't see them under Units.

js19707, let me clarify a little.
I have not been able to get it physically working. I was able to program the Rain8 module with the supplied serial cable. I have the Rain8 UPB plugged into a PIM. I get no control capabilities from PC Access. I was just trying to simply turn one of the zones off and on and nothing happened. In the instructions it talks about configuring something using UPstart but I do not know what to configure there either.
I have sent an email to the manufacturer as I might have a DOA unit. But I thought I would further explore with someone that has it working.

ok thanks for clarifying Joe. i haven't had to touch my rain 8 upb since i set it up, so my recollection of the setup details is rather fuzzy at this point. i can try digging up some details later tonight.
in the meantime, can you tell me more about your setup: what model(s) of rain8 units do you have, how are they configured, how do you have it wired, and what happens when you try to send the relevant UPB commands to your rain8 via PCAccess? have you tried using UPStart directly to turn the units on/off?
