Hi,

I just ran the automatic upgrade of HaikuHelper 4.0 on my MAC this morning, restarted the computer and now I consistently get the "HaikuHelper quit unexpectedly" message shortly after it connects to my controller. It was running fine before this update.

My MAC is running the latest updates from iOS Mavericks.

We've already posted an update for this. Hopefully Apple will approve it quickly (we've notified them of the critical bug).

Sorry about this. Its actually an error that appeared only in the release build because the build process somehow failed to include the latest version of the database.

It will affect everyone. So at this time its best not to download 4.0 (it should be removed from the App Store shortly). Once the 4.0 version becomes unavailable, you should be able to download the old version for the time being.

Okay, we have a fix for it in the mean time that you can apply yourself as well if you like, its identical to the 4.01 update:

You will need to download this file: http://www.nullriver.com/~lupinglade/VersionInfo.plist and place it into the app bundle at the following location:
Code:
/Applications/HaikuHelper.app/Contents/Frameworks/OmniLink.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Haiku.momd/VersionInfo.plist
To do this, go to the Finder and locate the HaikuHelper application, then right click (or Control+click) on it and select "Show Package Contents"

Then browse to the Contents/Frameworks/OmniLink.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Haiku.momd/ directory and copy the file you just downloaded to this directory. It will ask to replace it and ask for your password for permission. Approve this and you will be able to start HaikuHelper 4.0 normally.

Lupinglade this App revision/addition does not work as you say.  I still have HH trying to connect but no results.  Showing trying to connect and Connection to controller interrupted"  HELP Pls.

Then your issue is not related to this. This specifically fixes the crash/all fields being grayed out. It sounds like your issue is just that you are providing incorrect connection information. Re-check the address/port/keys for your controller.

I cannot do anything with the controller connection.  All is frozen.  Tried taking the current controller off and adding another controller but it is useless only the + works.  How can I uninstall this thing.  It all went wrong with the update yesterday.  My status and connection fields are all greyed out......
