This is a combo ATSC / NTSC dual tuner for HTPC applications, it installs on the PCI bus. Although it is a "dual" tuner it is ATSC + NTSC it cannot do x2 ATSC or x2 NTSC.

You will get QAM functionality as well, that will live on the ATSC+QAM side, NTSC is uneffected.

recording specs are almost negligible, especially compared to playback specs. The pvr card does the encoding, so there's basically no CPU load while recording. And for digital signals, there's even less load, because of no encoding.

I have used a Pentium 550 coppermine with the side that does recording, the digital side just writes to disk.

Playback is the issue, with ATSC you are talking about a pretty decent amount of highly compressed data.
