CocoonTech CES 2009 Exclusive Updates:
CocoonTech visited the Hauppauge Booth during CES 2009. They were showing off their latest High Def capture card, the WinTV-HVR-2250. This is a dual tuner that incorporates analog as well as high def capabilities and is compatible with SageTV (you can run multiple cards in a computer if needed).
Listed features include:
* Dual tuners, each for NTSC/ATSC and clear QAM
* Internal splitter for easier connections
* FM radio capable
* Includes two on-board hardware MPEG-2 encoders for analog cable TV recordings
* Single slot, half height PCI Express with full and half height brackets.
They were also showing their external box HVR-PVR which can hook up to your satellite or cable TV provider via component inputs and then record at High Def 1080i resolutions.
Listed features include:
* Record high definition TV from HD satellite and cable TV set top boxes
* HD record formats up to 1080i
* Built-in high performance H.264 hardware compression
* Video inputs include Component video, S-Video, and Composite
* Audio inputs include L/R RCA audio, PCM and SPDIF
