HDHomeRun PRIME just became available for pre-order!

I would REALLY love to order one of these, but I have 2 potential problems with this unit:
  1. SageTV doesn't support the unit.
  2. I keep hearing Time Warner marks most of the channels as non-free, so I could only record the basic channels (similar to QAM/OTA).
Hopefully my research is wrong, as this really is a great piece of hardware.

Reading on the SAge forums, I was under the impression that it would work with SageMCTuner....

Yea I heard some people got it working, but I guess I am getting old, since I want this working without having to rely on multiple components (just too many things that can go wrong).

Amen to that! Why can't we just plug the darn thing in, install the cable cards, direct SageTV to that tuner, and enjoy cable card viewing?

I have the original dual tuner and even that thing is a bear to get working with SageTV (instructions are like holding a chicken leg in the air, waving it in a circle five times, sacrifice a goat, spread its blood in a circle pattern, etc...). :nutz:

I mean, I enjoy a good integration challenge every once in a while, but SageTV seems to be getting waaaaay to much of an adventure to invest in for the future.
