Home Automation Options

Now Squintz the community will not fall apart. HS may stop supporting HS 1.7 but so what. The product is rock solid and there are hundreds of plugins that exists now that work. Heck there are people still using HS 1.6 and still frequent the community. We'll be here for ya. I would suggest not mixing a need for HS and HS 2.0 because for many that is a non functioning mixture. You can always run 1.7X for a while and build on a 2.0 install for later upgrading. I'm running both at the exact same time and so far so good.

Squintz,
I'll add my 2 cents here too. The HS community will survive and continue to grow. There were many that were predicting the end of HS a few years ago when pay for plugins first started.

I am still running 1.7.x on my home automation server. I purchased 2.0 the first day that it was available so I have my license for it. I am running 2.0 on a development server so that I can upgrade the items that I have in the updater. I don't plan on converting my ha server until sometime this fall.

CQC will also support the Elk in the upcoming 1.4 release. It supports both the serial and socket connection options.

In the 'ever' time frame, we'll support everything I'm sure ;) I'm not sure what the complexity is for supporting that system. Can you point me at some info that I can evaluate in terms of protocol and whatnot? Or at least at a source where I can ask for that info?

Wish Cinemar would run on a Windows CE Touchscreen!!!

Hmmm! Opportunity?? ;)
Better yet, get it to run on MCE then have the best of both worlds, Internet connectivity and be able to dim my lights on my MCE system (hint hint ;) )
