Honeywell 5853 glass break sensor

When I test this sensor using:

glass break simulation - Google Suche

Which is an audio simulator presumably designed for such testing, I am unable to trigger the sensor.
Perhaps the simulator emits frequencies not recognized by the 5853?
Is this not an appropriate way of testing?

You need to use the FlexGuard FG-701 which is specified. Generally these sensors are pretty reliable so just make sure they are dusted out.

Smacking two boards together should trigger it. Heck, even clapping loudly will generally trigger the glass breaks I have (at least the red light comes on the device).

Dropping a few metal pots on a tiled kitchen floor triggers it every time. Ask me how I know.
