How do you distribute vaux power for your Elk m1?

Does anyone have a good, clean way to distribute vaux power within your Elk M1 enclosure? Like most of us, I have various devices that require power -- smokes, CO, motion, glass break, etc. So far, the best solution I can think of is to mount a couple of terminal strips from radio shack inside the enclosure, such as this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103982 or this http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103231

Ideally, however, I would wire up a power bus running up the side of the enclosure that I could tap into as necessary. Has anyone done something like this? Any recommended products?

This is an inexpensive terminal block that will tidy up your wiring quite nicely. It doesn't have any fusing or other prtotective circuitry. If you were running long runs off of it you might want to consider lightening protection. If you are just hooking up local items and you aren't the type who is prone to accidentally shorting wires, this should work very well.

The PTC protected distribution block has advantages and really isn't much more than a normal barrier strip, provided you don't need the high current version.

I've found that unless you have a pile of powered devices, a lot of times you're just adding to the complexity of the system and adding a failure point IMHO.
