This just happened in the chat room, figured some of you might learn something from it, while others will be able to laugh at a situation which I am sure some of you have been in as well.
[11:42:56] <ph0n33z> one of my dimmers isn't controlling the load
[11:42:59] <ph0n33z> checking programming first
[11:44:10] <MC_W> did you check the bulb?
[11:44:18] <MC_W> :p

[11:48:17] <iPad33z> I don't have a simple/practical mind. I always think too deeply. Lol
[11:49:47] <iPad33z> Hey
[11:49:55] <iPad33z> It may not be the bulb
[11:50:57] <iPad33z> And umm
[11:51:00] <iPad33z> It was the bulb
[11:51:01] <iPad33z> LOL
[11:52:16] <iPad33z> epic fail

Happens to me from time to time with troubleshooting. I once spent an hour trying to figure out the bizarre behavior of a computer, only to discover the numpad enter key was lodged under the desk lip and causing the whole issue. Simple problems...

Getting old stinks but I just had one of the senior moments when my push mower wouldn't start. It's an electric start so I couldn't for the life of me figure it out as the battery had a full charge. It really helps if you pull that dang security handle back first.

that's what happens when you try to cut your lawn in January!~ we won't see grass here til May! B)

Yeah, Jeff, I've only been in FL since 2007, but you get used to it fast. It was nice cutting the lawn last Saturday then jumping in the pool...then remembering it was February!

been there had that happen in some way, shape, or form.

The light bulb is a good one. :nutz:
About a month ago, after powering down for a whole bunch of wiring changes made on my HAI system, I couldn't figure out why none of the time based automated lighting routines would fire. Spent a good hour checking this, checking that only to finally remember to reset the clock in the panel. D'oh!

I friend of mine has zero "handy man" skills and was having problems with his porch light. I came over and checked to see if it was getting power. It was so I asked if he had replaced the light bulb. He had, but apparently the replacement bulb was already broken. He felt pretty silly when changing the bulb out again fixed the problem.
