Premise Input Switching on Amp with Every Song Change

Motorola Premise

I have one of the zones of my matrix switcher going to an input of my preamp in my Living Room (theater-ish  ). When I am playing any audio file (MP3/MP4, etc.) Premise sends an input change signal to the preamp. This creates a slight hiccup in the audio. The beginning of every song gets clipped.

Here is an image of the connections in Premise. Is there something not right there?

Any help would be appreciated.

At first glance, it seems right. I have an output of my Xantech ('MP3s') as an input into my receiver ('Video2'). I don't have that issue. A couple of things you might look at..are there any settings on the amp? I have an amp that auto-shuts off w/o a signal; the 'silence' between tracks might trigger that. Try putting the setting for your computer audio at 'Fade'. See if that solves it. If so, you can look back at number one (amp setting).

Give those a try and put the results up..then we'll work on the next steps :D

I don't have switcher :D However, your setup is very interesting: does your PC really have 4 sound cards or are the 4 sources really just the same source?

It is possible to get more than one audio stream out of some sound cards, you can use some of the M-Audio Delta cards or even some Sound Blaster cards with KX drivers that can be found on the net. I use the onboard sound card on my Motherboard plus an old Sound Blaster card with the KX drivers to get 4 different stereo audio streams from my Premise server.

I have an M-Audio Delta 1010LT, which was made for the Pro market, where more than one set of inputs/outputs are the norm. In fact in my studio, I can get 32 tracks (16 pairs) in AND out. So yes, I can get 4 simultaneous stereo outs plus a SPDIF out plus the onboard card.

And the KX drivers for the SoundBlaster cards works very well.

Thanks for the answers all. I'll let you all know what works.
