I have several lights that I would like to control with a Switchlinc 2476d. These lights have multple switches that control them from various locations ie. garage lights can be turned on from laundry room, from the garage in 2 spots or from the basement stairwell. Do I need to put a Switchlinc at each of these locations? or just 1 at the load switch?? I have been searching these forums but I am getting very confused.

Thanks

Bill

Yes, you need multiple SwitchLincs. One will actually control the load. The others will just be signaling the master switch. You will probably end up with unused "traveler wires" in the walls (that were previously used to link the 3 ways).

So in my above example I would need 4 switches??? Is this correct?

Thanks

Yep, 4 if you want to control it from all 4 locations.
