Insteon KeypadLinc Question

This question would actually apply to any protocol that has a wall keypad switch. On a KeypadLinc there are the buttons that operate the load as well as secondary buttons for controlling other loads or scenes or whatever.

My question regards the LEDs on these secondary buttons. Since these only control remote loads, and since the protocol requires a confirmation for each transmisson, it seems like the LEDs on these secondary buttons should not change state unless all the linked loads acknowledge successful receipt of the message. Maybe if some acknowledge and some don't, then the LED could flash or something. It just seems it shouldn't change unless the controlled loads all change as well. Otherwise what is the point of the whole acknowledgement process?

Mike,
I agree as a minimum they shouldnt light if they dont receive the ack. But I guess then prople would wonder if they pressed the button. So blinking is better
