Ok so I see people saying that insteon switches are x10 signal suckers...

how about when they are set in x10 mode? I have 3 in my spare box that I want to use... as they are togglelinc style switches..... but not if it is going to kill my x10 signal... they will just go in the spare parts box...

thanks
Jeff..

p.s. models are...
2x Smartlabs ToggleLinc V2 Dimmer 2466DW
1x Smartlabs ToggleLinc V2 Relay 2466SW

keep or sell????

I can't offer any scientific proof, but I just tried adding a few X10 appliance and lamplincs to control my halloween lights. These are the only X10 plc items I am using, but I have about 20 insteon devices. The X10 devices did not work at all. There could be plenty of other reasons that they did not work, but I have my suspicions.

btw, if you are thinking of getting rid of the togglelincs, I would be interested ;)

No X10 mode makes no difference. The reason this can happen is any two way modules with a power line transmitter in it. Can absorb signals if not the sending device. X10 two way modules can also absorb line signals. So it is not just Insteon modules that can absorb signals. Insteon signals are resent if needed by each module while they do not resend X10 ones even in the X10 mode.
