Insteon X10 scene programming

What does anyone use to program X10 scenes into your Insteon switches (Switchlinc or Keypadlinc)? Manual says you have to send a series of house and unit codes without sending on or off commands. Is there a device I can use to send a series of just house and unit codes? Or is the easiest way just to write a few scripts for Homeseer?

the easiest way to do this is via smarthome's controlinc maxi. It has one button scene setup. I have one for my x10 and it works great.

I've used Home Control Assistant to set up X-10 scenes in someo of my Insteon devices, but it doesn't seem to always get the ramp rate correct. I've also used the maxi-controller which works well.

The advantage to using something like Home Control Assistant is that it keeps a good record of all the scenes you program.

..still waiting for Smart Home Manager V2 to program the rest of my devices...

There is a free ASP page that integrates into Homeseer. The Page lets you set on rates and ramp rates on individual devices and also lets you define scenes.
