Integrating Google Glass with CQC

Uh, we're going to have to figure out how to integrate Google Glass with CQC.

#ifihadglass  I'd control my home automation system by sight. When I walk away from my house, I'd look at it and say "ok glass, arm". While in the house i could integrate it with the A/V, HVAC, lighting, or other based on whatever i was looking at.

Hi Vivek, thanks for applying! We’d like to invite you to join our #glassexplorers program. We’ll be sending you a private message with more details in the coming weeks -- keep an eye on our stream at Project Glass.

Looks like I'll be doing the same thing with HS. I mentioned monitoring my security cams and controlling the Internet of Things.  :D Should be cool to be a Glass Explorer!

Dude thats perfect, we need to actively compare notes, i'm sure we can push each other to do some pretty cool stuff!

yep. And go to one of the 3 launch cities. Fortunately I live 15 minutes from one of them, so at least there's no airfare or hotel.

Yeah they are expensive but it's cool to be chosen as part of bleeding edge tech. Plus I'm hoping they will give us access to an SDK/API to do more with it than just use it. Unfortunately the travel (airfare and hotel) will be expensive too but the wife is excited too.

are you going to NY, SF, or LA? I live 15m from SF (25m door-door from Moscone center, which I'd think they use for this).

Not sure yet as I'd like SF, but the wife has family in NY so I'll have to see. Timing might play into it as well. Wish we knew the exact dates.

Just told my wife the bill. She freaked, so I told her that when she gets a many month severance package, she too can spend $1500 on something frivolous.

I predict no sex for a very long time. Meh, thats okay, i'll just watch "movies" on my new google glasses :-)

Seriously considering dropping out after reading this (I've had PRK, Lasik equivalent)

Glass isn’t for everyone. Like when wearing glasses, some people may feel eye strain or get a headache. If you’ve had Lasik surgery, ask your doctor about risks of eye impact damage before using Glass. Don’t let children under 13 use Glass as it could harm developing vision. Also, kids might break Glass or hurt themselves, and Google’s terms of service don’t permit those under 13 to register a Google account. If Glass is not for you and you wish to return it, do so before the end of the applicable refund period.

i suspect they say lasik because there's the risk of dislodging the flap, not the case with prk (i just really want you to get it so you can tell us all about it ;) )
