Hello.
I've been slowly getting my feet wet in automation over the past couple years. I work part time as a tech for a security / automation company in NW Ohio. At my home, I have an Elk M1G and am currently making a transition from Geovision to AverMedia CCTV. I'm always looking for creative new ways to mess with automation and love to test things out at home then demo interesting new stuff for clients.
My wife often tells me that I'm nuts when it comes to all this but she quickly recants either when something happens and the system responds or when I take it offline while I'm working and one of the events doesn't happen that she has grown to love. So deep down, although she'd never admit it, I think she likes this stuff.
By joining this forum, I hope to get some new ideas and be able to help others to develop some of their own or fill in the missing piece of the puzzle.
Regards,
-JD
