Been upgrading here from the older AOpen KODI boxes to something newer and faster and smaller. I have not decided what hardware to use yet and testing an older Cube PC (Xi5A) which is a good dual AMD CPU, 2 Gb of RAM and a displayport video output.
I can do HD 4K with it but it pushes on the CPU to 100%. That said the steps are the same that I utilize to install KODI on Ubuntu. I have stayed away from KODI on Android and Windows for whatever reasons to date.
Started to write this on Saturday and lost the post (security reasons) but saved it to Ubuntu notepad.
All of the below can be done in less than 30 minutes. I have done this so many times that it has become memorized a bit.
Note that KODI is installed last here.
