LED and Insteon

So LED lighting is coming down in price and getting better. I’ve had a lot of mixed results with LED lights and Insteon dimming however last night I made a breakthrough on a bulb that works extremely well. It’s available at Lowes for $21.95 and it’s made by Sylvania. It’s their Ultra High Performance Series 8W bulb (A19 replacement). So far, it puts out a nice soft white light and dims perfectly with no flicker. It’s supposed to be comparable to a 40W bulb but it looks closer to 60W. It has a 430 lumen output and 50,000 life expectancy.

Anyone else using LED bulbs with Insteon and having good success? Brand and type?

I have an EcoSmart 40W equivalent A19 on order and will post added date when it arrives. As I also am using Insteon.
I have read they also dim nicely.

I have one of the ecosmart bulbs. It is a little cool to my liking and only broadcasts light out of the upper hemisphere (away from the screw base). It would be fine in a ceiling fixture but not so good in a table lamp. It dims pretty well (with Insteon) but, like all led's I have seen, does not go amber as it dims.

I changed out my old halogen dual 150 watt driveway lamps to the Ecosmart PAR-38 LED lamps (3) and they are SOOOOOO bright. 54 Watts instead of 300 and brighter, a no brainer. No dimming needed.

BryanE,

Since installing these LED lights are you still a fan of these and are they performing as expected as well?

I tried a couple of the Sylvania Ultra LED 8w G25 bulbs in a wall sconce fixture, they will sometimes flash when I dim them and also when going from dim to bright, they seem fine other than that.
