So, behind my house is about 40 feet worth of driveway, an alley, a 6' fence, 50 feet of parking lot and an apartment complex. I've had enormous amounts of trouble with the apartment complex, ranging from throwing trash over the fence, to shooting bb's through my daughter's window, and most recently, throwing a vodka bottle onto my driveway where it smashed into a million pieces.
So, I was thinking of mounting some cameras on the top of my house to look into the alley and the parking lot to record deviant behavior to forward on to police and prosecutor offices. They would need to work in low-light conditions as most deviant/criminal activity happens at night (although trash is thrown over the fence at all hours of the day). They would need to have an effective range of about 100 feet so that I could see all the way into the parking lot. And they would have to be of sufficient resolution and quality that we could identify someone in the parking lot, perhaps not down to every detail on their face, but enough that they are recognizable.
I'd probably like to use a computer to record the cameras, so a suitable card would also be required.
Any suggestions?
Adam
