M1 control battery part number??

I have just recieved a "control low battery" warning from my M1 system. I am currently 3000km from the system and returning in 3 days time, can someone let me know what the part number is of the M1 control battery?? It will be easier to purchase the battery here than in my more remote location where the M1 system is.

What happens if the control battery totally fails? Is there a correct procedure for its replacement?

The M1 installation manual doesn't have the part number.

Thanks and regards,

The Elk-1280 is the standard battery in the US kits. I don't know if Ness packages differently. You may have upgraded your battery/batteries... the 12V 12 Ah is a common choice. I am assuming the trouble warning refers to a worn out 12V backup battery, but it could theoretically apply to the little 3V (?) watch battery under the cover used to keep the clock running when the system is turned off.

THanks for the replies.

I was thinking the "control low battery" was actually the small coin shaped battery that is located on the M1??? Sorry guys didn't realise ite was the sealed lead acid one.

I have had the M1 since 2005 and figured that the small lithium backup had died. While I am down here I would like to pick one of these up and just replace that too does anyone know the pat number of the lithium battery....thanks.

I can pick up a sealled lead acid battery when I get back in a few days the lithium better I get from current location.
