M1XSP and RCS TR16

All,
 
Still working my way through my first ELK M1 install, and so far, so good.  
 
My current question is:
 
I own 3 RCS TR16s.  They are the newer models, with the RJ45 on them.  
 
The wiring diagram on the M1XSP shows 3 wires only connecting to it, but I am not sure which wires I should be using.  I have spliced and joined all the conductors on the 3 wires leading to/from my TR16s, but can't get the elk to recognize the thermostats.
 
Your help is appreciated.

It seems pretty clear from this diagram from the ELK M1XSP manual.

If all you have is the RJ45 then there is a reference to one in the tr60 manual (last diagram).  Hopefully the pinouts are the same...

Thanks.  Realized I have both RJ45 and the 3 conductor options on my TR16's.  Not sure how I missed the 3 conductor option.  Wired that up and all is good!
