Motion light put in constant on mode by utility power glitch

Had a brief power drop at home and some of my outdoor motion lights got stuck on. I hadn't thought about this before but many motion sensor lights have a way to keep them on by switching off the power briefly and then back on. Seems like this would happen more often as we occasionally get a brief power drop. Any insight into this?

Switch maybe to a different mfg of outdoor 120VAC motion lights?

Last home put the outdoor yard lamps on interior automated switches and used wired outdoor PIRs. In current home using 433Mhz wireless outdoor sensors which work well. (current second home).
