After being initially disappointed with the effective range of the Ipower charging station (could not keep with the power demand and would slowly drain the Ipad to 0% battery), I contacted VidaBox for a refund. I was then informed that a new power source version was in the pipeline and sure enough, I receive the new unit just a few days later. Outstanding customer service.
The new power source works 4.0! I am running approximately 80 feet of CAT 6 (plus the Ipad USB cable) from my Leviton box. The improved unit is able to keep the battery state at 100% EVEN when the Ipad is on constantly. I run the unit for 24 hours running Haiku and displaying a camera view and the battery level never went below max charge.
For those of you considering this solution just be advised that the improved unit will work perfectly beyond the advertised 15 feet for a full charge.
