Need help with alarm panel wiring; just want to switch lines

Also as mentioned you can run the black/yellow to your DSL modem and afterwords a single DSL filter, then all your jacks inside the house are prefiltered and will not need an additional one.

This would be handy as I dunno if most DSL filters filter line2 or if they only have pins for line1 or what, I can totaly see a 2 line phone being filtered on line1 and not line2.

Well, that did the trick! I've got working dsl, the alarm is now communicating strongly with the monitor station, it seizes the line, and all the phones have dial tone! Thank you so much for the help, I couldn't have figured it out without it.
