No I haven't. Living off an iPhone the past week. Power should be back in a few more days if all goes well. If it wasn't for the iPhone I would be reading the paintings on the cave walls.

I am sure I will be fine with the GUI but you never know with the other half.

I have an install tomorrow that I might try it at. That is if the panel shows up in time.

I am going to start pulling wire tomorrow. Its a ripout of an Ademco system and putting in an Elk. i am reusing the wireless but i want to pull new wire for the keypads, receiver, and siren. Also adding 10 wired water sensors and an Elk-WSV.

That should keep us busy till UPS shows. If I get the system up and running tomorrow I will take some pics.

A few months ago i had someone ask me if this keypad could be built into a refrigerator door. At the time i thought they were nuts but now that i have one i think it woild be cool. It would also be great in a desktop stand. Easy enough to make.

I can't remember how thick it is, but what would be cool is to incorporate a magnetic holding frame...

A magnetic frame is pretty easy in my opinion. I can just modify the backbox for the KPNAV to add some good quality magnets. The trick is running the wire. On the side of a frig is easy. This person wanted it on the door with the wire run in the door.

There are a lot of neat things that can be done with these keypads.

I dont have my panel delivery yet on the install so I might not get the system up and running today. I did get power back at home so maybe this weekend I will set one up at home.

Wires to the door shouldn't be hard - If you have an icemaker in the door, take off the plastic cover over the top hinge - at least for GE, that's where they run the wires... would mean disassembling the door to route the wires down though.

All i need is to scratch the guys $1800 frig by accident. While i agree it would be cool its not worth it for me to install it for them.

I am actually going to offer to mount the keypad under one of the kitchen cabinets and see what he says. That will take 20 minutes with very little risk.

Its one thing to rip apart your own frig etc but for someone elses theres always the chance something will happen and then you lose your shirt.
