Outdoor Speaker Choices

It's time for me to start thinking about our annual outdoor bash - this year I intend to have some weatherproof speakers in place. I see a lot of the "Rock looking" speakers don't look that great. Then I found TIC company speakers which look better than most (IMHO) but was wondering if anyone could comment on these - or - other brand of outdoor speakers?

I recently put a pair of generic-looking Proficient exterior speakers in my garage, no issues.

I've never been a big fan of the rock speaker appearance; looks like someone couldn't move that rock from their garden. ;)

Hi, Monk.

I have a Proficient AW800TT and AW600TT outdoors in my home in SW FL. The 800 is under the lanai and protected from sun and rain. The 600 is unprotected. Both have been up for three years and still sound like new.

I purchased the HAI brand of outdoor speakers; look fine but haven't installed them yet. Only thing is that I have a brick exterior to play with and one spot near my outdoor temperature module that I can install. Not sure yet on methodology to install second speaker; unless I mount it on the deck (but not really liking how that will install).
