Pausing a rule ELKM1 Gold

Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone can give me a hand with something. I've set an automated rule which closes my garage door after 20mins then emails me to let me know I had left it open. This works great except when your out mowing the lawn or enjoying a bbq with friends. I was wondering if anyone had an idea as to how to pause rules or disable them with a button on a keypad then resume when your ready to resume. The attachement is a screen shot of my attempt. Please help, thanks again!

You were close.

Use the F6 button to enable/inhibit the rule.

Whevenver F6 key on any keypad activates
then toggle F6 button light (out 26)

I would simplify the remaining rules a bit to this:

Whenever Garage (Zn 8) is not secure
then turn output 100 on for 20 minutes

Whenever output 100 turns off
and output 26 (F6 backlight) is off
and Garage (Zn 8) is not secure
then send email
then turn on output 3 for 3 seconds

Sorry, I didn't explain that. The F-keys are all backlighted and can be assigned an output in the keypad setup. It is in RP under the keypad setup. I have output 26 assigned to F6 illumination. (In RP the "illumination EV" column). If you set this column to 7026, that will assign the light to output 26.

Then when the F6 key backlight is on, there is a reminder that you have the automatic garage door close routine inhibited.

I hope that explains it.
