Hello, this is my 1st post.
I’ve been looking for a long time to come up with a flexible home controller leaning on automation side with Remote I/O's. Still pondering that, but I came across something that hasn’t been mentioned yet, and that is a Pokeys65E or 56U GOTO".poscope.com/pokeys56e DOTCOM" one is Ethernet, the other USB all under $100. It seem easy to program and is web based and has up to 55 digital I/’Os including 1 wire, 7 analog inputs, PWM I/O’s LCD, matrix, keypad inputs, a communication loss watchdog, and much more. Also keyboard shortcut keys based on input changes (USB model only). It has all the goodies for networking. I’m not a software guy so I’m limited as to how this would integrate remotely with other items, but the web side all in one package sounds EZ. So could this interface with premise or the alike?
This was developed for CNC machines, or so it seems.
What is your input on this? I think this would be a good way of having remote I/O’s but unsure how it could be used best with what controller software. Check out the very handy user documentation that gives tips on how to drive inputs outputs, hook up key pads & LCD & screens. It's a good read.
Thanx
