I recently installed an Elk M1XSP to use with an Uplink Anynet module. After installing, enrolling, and then flashing the M1XSP with the appropriate firmware, the M1XSP disappeared from the system. Efforts to re-enroll it were unsuccessful. I spent a couple of hours scratching my head, checking connections, verifying the resistance across the RS-485 bus, etc., but all I had to do was power cycle the system. A simple power cycle seems to have solved the problem. So, note to others, power cycle your stuff after flashing. It could save a headache or two.
