Can anyone explain to me why the Premise server does not update continually?
Anyway to make it update whenever a zone, trigger, or anything has changed?
Anyway to tell it if it sees no activity (Sleeping) to update once an hour, every 5 min, etc? Any reason why I wouldnt want it to do this?
I saw last night where my system was armed, however the server says its disarmed?? Inparticular these boxes of info dont make any sense to me. Can someone please explain.

Security History

Last State Change Ready To Arm, 11/18/2009 5:11:42 PM
Last Zone Triggered Kitchen_Door (24) (This one is obvious)
Last Function StayArm, 10/1/2009 1:13:46 AM
Status Last Function Disarmed, 11/18/2009 5:11:42 PM

Thanks

Brian,

The server does update. But it depends on however the driver was written as to if it does and if you have to explicitly turn something on.

For instance, when I turn on a light in any room that has a UPB switch (my choice of lighting tech), the interface on my touchscreeen instantly changes to reflect that. But my PreAmp in my living room is controlled by IR, so it cannot report back when I change something on the front panel.

So the question is, what devices are we talking about?

If the security system changes its arming state but Premise doesn't report it, then there's no connection between the two. However, if you're certain the connection is not at fault, and you're using the ELK M1 driver, here's another possibility: the M1 is not configured to broadcast its state-changes. The driver's documentation describes the options that must be set in order to have the M1 broadcast whenever it arms/disarms, a zone is triggered, etc.
