printable labels?

Anyone have recommendations on printable labels for wiring?  I've used a roll type of label for the installation.  Basically it's just a little container of labels on a roll inside a plastic dispenser.  Makes it easy to scribble a description on the label and wrap it around the wires before pulling them.   There's a white part of the label and then a clear part that wraps back around the cable and over it.  Effectively securing the label and helping prevent the wiring from getting rubbed away.

It occurs to me I'd rather have printed labels once I get around to terminating all of it.  That and it's one thing to put a single label on one of the wires in a bundle, but another thing entirely to have to hand-write all of them later.

I ran across a web page from panduit for this sort of thing:  http://www.panduit.com/wcs/Satellite?c=Page&childpagename=Panduit_Global%2FPG_Layout&cid=1345564329023&packedargs=classification_id%3D2400%26locale%3Den_us&pagename=PG_Wrapper#2

Anyone else make these kinds of labels?  Got links to a reasonably priced supplier?

I used a Brother P-touch to make labels.  I just wrapped them around and the label stuck off to the side of the cable.  But you would need to label after pulling.  And I see that, about 8 years later, the labels are delaminating so I can't recommend it.  Would be interested in finding something better that isn't too costly.

I've used the above mentioned cable sheets and they worked for me.  Prior though I used the little cloth numbers / alpha character lables and they have have peeled off.

The Rhino is awesome.  They even make shrink tube labels that come out that you can shrink around the cables.  If you are willing to cough up the coin, it's the cream of the crop.

If not, do regular labels and put some clear heat shrink over them so they don't fall off.

I really do not see having the time to both apply labels and heatshrink them too.

That and once most of the cables are terminated I won't really need to deal with them much after that.  So being 'reasonably durable' is all that's needed.  But I do want to be able to put some labels on them during the time between now, the foam insulating and drywall installation, various other parts of the construction and when I eventually get around to dealing with every last bit of wire...  Having the ability to print them out from a spreadsheet would make it a lot easier than fiddling with a label gun keypad all the time.

The Rhino can do all of that... can print via USB from a spreadsheet, print self laminating labels (white with a clear overwrap) as well as the heat shrink.
