Programming HAI UPB switches - warning very new guy here...

Hello All,

I am finally getting around to working on my UPB setup for my new house....ok so we've been here for a year and a half... Anyway I finished the HAI security install back in March and am now ready to start tackling the UPB portion. I have stacks of HAI switches I bought when we were having the house built. I installed the Phase Coupler today and tested the 1 switch that I installed for the garage lights and it works fine, however, I want to rename the switch from "Outlet1" to "Garage" and can't for the life of me find documentation on how to do from the main keypad. I don't have any user software at this time. Is there even a way to do it without the user software?

Thank You,
Alan

What HAI system did you install? You might just want to buy the "dealer" version of the software (if it exists for your system) - it will save you lots of time in the long run.

I've got the Omni Pro II with quite a few bells and whistles.... I bought it from a dealer who programmed it based on my new home specifications. What they didn't program was all the lighting controls, because I wasn't quite sure how I would use the system. I've got a switch(Dimmer, Non Dimmer, and Auxiliary based on function) for every location in the house...only one installed so far. So yeah I've got my work cut out for me.

So it was Dealer setup/ self install. I am wanting to learn more about it now and start to add the pieces that are still in the boxes. I will buy the software but was hoping to get some of the switches setup this weekend. I will go ahead and order the software.

Thank you for the response.

Alan

After you have a chance to work with the software and become familiar with it, if you cannot get your lighting setup the way you want just post back here.
