I know there have been threads on the phantom load power consumption of Insteon devices in the past, but my search hasn't found anything that compares this for the various popular lighting technologies discussed on the board. We're selling the current house and buying a new one, and may go solar there in the future. Thus, phantom loads can make a big difference when it comes to system sizing and become an important consideration. I currently have an Insteon system of 70+ devices, and believe they consume something near 1 watt without a load. That doesn't sound like much, but with solar it can add up. So... does anyone know of any comparisons of, or reliable information about, the phantom loads of the various popular lighting technologies? I'm currently considering Insteon, z-wave, and UPB, but am open to others as well.
Thanks,
Joe
