I want to use the M1 to ramp the area group in a C-Bus install to 0% but Rp wont allow it.
I have tried setting it to off, but that does not turn all the lights off as desired. SO next I thought I would try turning it on to a level of 0% with a ramp rate of 1 or 2 to see if I could get the desired effect. Problem is that 1% is the minimum value (which makes sense), but I think I need a 0% to get the area group to effectively do what it needs to do.
Is there any chance this can be added easily for testing and confirmed that it works - I will be the guinny pig if that is what it takes.
Otherwise - does anyone know how to use the area group in th M1 so the M1 can turn off all the loads in that area.
Thanks
Mick
Note: As most wont understand what I am on about with resects to area groups, in C-bus you assign a dimmer or a relay to an area. This group is then like a master switch, turn off the group and all loads on the dimmers/relays turn off. THe only caveat is that you cant just turn off that group, it needs to be ramped off to work - dont know the science behind it, but it just does. With the M1 only having off as an option and not being able to ramp off it wont work.
Having a ramp off would be a nice effect for any lighting system connected to the M1, I am puzzled as to why it is not there already. It seems that an instant off is all that is required - all lights slowly going out over 10 seconds is great.
