Recommend a waterproof speaker?

I've neglected doing this, and now it's crunch time. I need a basic speaker that is suitable for an enclosed shower/steam shower room. I presume 8 Ohms, and probably 40 watts at absolute maximum. Anyone have one to recommend, or at least a brand/store they'd recommend where I can find one? The only place I've found some clearly labeled "vapor proof" was at steam sauna bath, where we got the steam generator. $150/pair, eek...but I guess I'm dreaming that they'd be cheaper than that. Nothing is cheap nowadays....

I usually get shot down when I recommend this, but I've got a single Polk Audio RC6s stereo speaker installed in my kitchen that I really enjoy. I've got 3 more sitting on my kitchen table waiting to be installed and need to pickup 2 more at some point in the not too distant future for the rest of my whole house audio.

Quoting from the Polk Audio page, "Moisture-resistant materials make it safe for use in bathrooms, kitchens, saunas, even under outdoor roof-eaves."

The MSRP on the RC6s is $180.00 but I've purchased all of mine from Amazon.com for less than $90.00. Looks like the price at Amazon has gone up a bit since I purchased my last batch a month ago, but I'm guessing you can find them for around $100 somewhere and ebay shows a few around $75.00.

I think that your best bet is to use marine speakers. Expect to pay more, but stuff that is built for use on boats is generally going to be much more resistant to the elements than other so-called weatherproof designs. You can probably find more information on specific marine brands on boating discussion boards. westmarine is the biggest marine supply retailer that I know of and they have a big selection on their website.
I have a boating speaker project on the distant horizon, but I have not gotten to do any research for it yet.

Get some advice from the boating crowd before buying though because the word "marine" is often used (like "wedding") just to justify a higher price. You don't always get what you pay for.

Good advice, thanks!

I've got a little more time now...turns out I don't need to have the speaker on hand while they prepare the shower for tiling, I can always cut the hole later.

I found this site after a little searching around. It is not the most shopper friendly, but there is some quantitative data on exposure for some of the models they sell.
I liked the fact that the Aquatic AV models are designed to drain water that enters. This is a feature I had not considered before.
