There was a posting a whle back where i had mentioned one particular brand i found on amazon. I don't seem able to find it, but did find some others. Most promising seems to be the "GRANDTEC GVC-1000 Grand Video Console Video To VGA Converter Svideo" The reviews at amazon are modest, but those at tiger direct were more positive...
Anyone have experience with this particular device or others they'd recommend? I don't mind paying anything in the sub 150 range... my usage s threefold for my 15" touchscreen (Planar 1078x768 max res):
1) hooking up to my server (music selectio and eventually more HA control)
2) hooking to my cable box (mainly so the Mrs can put on stuff for the kids, the news or have quick access to music guide when thats here music source)
- and/or -
3) hooking to my onkyo receiver as a secondary output/monitor - since my equipment is downstairs, would be nice to see i'm actually playing what i want before i head upstairs and rely on IR
Thus quality doesn't have to be perfect but i'd like it to be pretty good... I'm not gaming with it and this won't be my main source for movies - just a handy keep the kids occupied option...
