1. Motion sensor trips @ front door.

2. Use a geovision 12 out card to trigger the (component).

3. (which component) triggers a monitor or two (in 2 seperate rooms )to turn on for 5 min.
Buy 2 monitors that use the same remote control.

4. Turn both monitors off.

I could T or 3 way split the video to 2 lcd monitors or tv 17" or smaller.
I've got a 4 analog camera setup on a pc-dvr already but haven't upgraded to geovision dvr and accessories yet.

Vortex, I am not sure if this was a reply to an original post or a series of questions, can you please clarify a little

In this post I'm talkin about steps to take.

I'm lookin at these components of geovision to do what I'm thinkin of doing. Basically have outdoor motion sensors trigger the cameras to record. Plus with the home automation software I can do the monitor power on power off dill.

I've read a lot of stuff already so I'm thinkin to make this work I need a 2 monitor system on a dedicated video line.

motion sensors connects to geovision gv-io.
I could use the homeseer software to be triggered by the geovision output card?
Monitors plugged into a upb outlet?
easiest and cheapest way?

Your going to get a lot of false triggers... we deal exclusively with GeoVision products and its great stuff... but its also going to trip your monitor on/off all the time. It would work. You'd use the I/O controller and program it in the geovision software so ON MOTION it will trigger the output. Then you can do whatever you need to in your home automation panel once that circuit is closed. But unless you do a timer, geovision isnt really going to tell you motion stopped. I dont think you can trip a circuit on the i/o board when there ISNT motion. Never really used the i/o for motion, i mainly use i/o boxes for fence sensors.
