I have been reading posts looking for answers on this and have been playing with my RP programming software to see what’s feasible, but I am still not certain if my thoughts are right.
I have an Elk M1G and ever since we got our dog I have been unable to set the Alarm. Of course the dog the wife picked is a greyhound and there aren't any PIR's that will ignore him.
What I want to do is set the PIR so that it still works ( I am wanting to use it for my automation), but so that when the system is armed it won't set the alarm off. If the alarm is set I still want them to work since I will have rules that define when to shut the lights out if there isn't any motion.
Is this something I want to do thru the zone config for each PIR or would it be better to do it thru a rule? The rules are easy, but I am not sure what the bypass zone will do when I add it to my programming in my ISY
I have yet to buy the elk ISY integration module as I am still trying to confirm how well it will play with my hybrid x10 / insteon system.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or input.
