Review - Disneyland Home of the Future

I happened to be at Disneyland at the soft opening of their new home of the future exhibit. For those of you old enough to remember, this is the old "America Sings" building. It has been a exhibit of products of the future for quite a while, Yesterday was the soft re-opening of this exhibit.

Most members of this website would not be too impressed with technology in this exhibit. However, I'm sure none of us would mind having the budget for the hardware. The rooms were networked with Microsoft Zune touch panels running the newest version of media server. There was LCD picture frames everywhere. Lots of big screen flat panel TVs. Unfortunately the cast members did not know much about the technology they were showing off. I think the nicest thing there was the new Microsoft Surface. Although Microsoft surface reminded me a lot of a very large version of my wife's iPOD touch.

I thought Life|Ware was supposed to totally pimp out this new exhibit? Doesn't sound like that's the case.

Did you see anything from Life|Ware at all or was it just Microsoft?

EDIT:

I am going to answer my own question.

It looks like what I was thinking of is a different project. The article is here at Ce Pro. I had assumed it was the home of the future.

I work at Disneyland and wandered into the "Control Room" of the Technologies of this " House" and broke out laughing.
It's about 25ft long by 15ft with low racks running the length of the room in the center back to back. (the room has a low ceiling due to the location)

Sorry I do not have technical info at this time, but I will try to get some "inside" info and share if possible.

I went to the Carousel of Progress a couple years ago (in Florida) and my kids asked why they think this is the 'future'? They noted to the people around us that our house already does this stuff and more! lol

They really need to update that attraction!
