RooWifi

I recently bought a RooWifi module with the hopes of interfacing my Rooma with CQC.  Took about a month over the holidays to get it in (ships from Spain).  It has a simple web interface and gave me some hassels in pairing with my Wifi network when it was set to G-Only (DDWRT).  I had to set my network to b/g mixed even though the chip supports b/g/n.

So starting my programming run and trying to get the limits of the various data points that it sends back.   My problem is that in the middle of the Roomba cleaning run it lost connectivity and the module is displaying a solid red light.    I have tried to reset using the reset button, removing/reinstalling the module and removing/reinstalling the Roomba's battery.

I have emailed them and waiting to hear back, in the meantime was just wondering if any of the guru's on CT had any experience with the RooWifi and might have the answer on how to get this thing functioning again?

I am suspecting that it took a static discharge off something.  On it's first run it got knocked off, I was thinking about covering it with electrical tape, assuming I get it functioning again...

I have also got roo-wifi device, it would work for a few minutes and then would disconnect from the network. It also got very hot. I have exchanged e-mails with the vendor, they said it was a known issue and they were working on a fix, but have not heard anything since. It would be a great little gadget if it worked, but unfortunately, it did not.
